Hi there! 🙂

I’m Rebecca, and this is my blog!

I had a rough pregnancy, delivery, and first 8 weeks postpartum. Not rough in the sense of “My birth plan didn’t get used” (although it totally didn’t) but rough in the “We could have died” sense. One night in early August of 2015, I decided I needed something to work through what had happened.

That is how thatnewcrunchymom.wordpress.com (our sister site) was born. I began posting, just whatever I felt would be helpful to other parents, or to document my son’s growth (who is fondly referred to here as Bubba).

Then, the strangest thing happened…People started following my blog and liking what I posted! Imagine my surprise…;)

As the blog grew, my husband (New Crunchy Dad) decided that he wanted to get me a website separate from the WordPress site and  newcrunchymom.com was born.

The topics you can find on this blog are varied. I talk about everything from purity culture and modesty (as a homeschool graduate) to living a mental health, difficult pregnancy, being a young  mother, Christianity, and living a healthy lifestyle.

I’ve been published on the Huffington Post, Homeschoolers Anonymous, The Relationship Blogger, ARCWrites, TrueAgape, Beautifully Connected, Ann Miszczak and am the 2015 Best Performance of the Year winner in the national competition held at thepublicblogger.

My personal bio:

I am a 20 year old stay-at-home wife and mother to the two most wonderful menfolk I know

My faith in my Lord is crucial in my life and I would be remiss to not include it in my about me page. This sums it up well…

“I believe that I cannot by my own reason or strength believe in Jesus Christ my Lord, or come to Him; but the Holy Ghost has called me through the Gospel, enlightened me by his gifts, and sanctified and preserved me in the true faith…” The Explanation of the Third Article of the Apostle’s Creed by Martin Luther.

If there is anything in particular you are wondering about, please let me know!
